So I was not planning on calibrating all of the legs until I have my Raspberry Pi code all running great – but this thing so just too much fun to play with so I went ahead and done the calibrations. Whilst I was there I also cleaned up the wiring a great deal.
So all in all it is running absolutely amazing now so I thought I would share this quick update.

Hey Chris,
Any chance on doing a step by step instructions on your hexapod?
Bought one on eBay foolishly taught it was just gonna take weekend.
I’m stuck on the programming side as I have no programming background. My hexapod is a phoenix clone as well as the 32 servo controller.
Pls let me know if there’s any diy, or how to make a hexapod sites(been browsing a lot and still can’t find a decent one for newbies).
If you’re happen to be in the Sydney metro area, maybe we can trade. I’ve got a 3d printer(cobblebot with dual extruder upgrade) on its way from kickstarter. I can print for you in return for helping me with my hexapod. I’m also willing to pay cash to fund your projects.
Either way, let me know.
Thanks for your time,
Charle
